Celebrating twenty-four years of practical experience in insurance and retirement planning, I enjoy applying a “Spirit of Life” style of planning. I am a graduate of the Life Underwriter Training Council, (LUTCF); Investment Advisor Representative, (IAR), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), Accredited Asset Management Specialist, (AAMS); Registered Financial Consultant,(RFC); Certified Senior Advisor (CSA); and Certified for the Indiana Long Term Care Partnership Program.

In 1996, I formed Blazing Star Press and self-published ALL TOGETHER NOW; Records Instructions and Wishes For Those You Love. This book helps organize and record your wishes for healthcare and the many important details not included in your Last Will and Testament. For example, a place to record a list of your assets, advisors and doctors, where important papers are kept, where the lock box key is hidden, who gets the pets and how to care for them, and preferences for long term health care and funeral arrangements. Over the years, many have found value in my workshops on Investing Basics, Planning for the Unexpected, Life Transitions, Retirement Planning and Budgeting. I enjoy meeting and making new friends in the local and surrounding communities as well as traveling to meet clients, their family and friends around the country.

I am a past President of the Lafayette Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Professionals in Communication. Serving on the Board of Directors of Wesley Manor Retirement Community in Frankfort, Indiana for 9 years was a blessing as well as an education in eldercare and the trends in healthcare for the aging population. Currently, I serve on the board of the Association of Women Business Owners as membership co-chair. Hobbies include reading, writing, gardening, kayaking and quilting. My church affiliation is Baptist. I am married with 3 children who long ago left the nest and were replaced by 2 ornery cats. My step-granddaughter is a graduate of Ball State University (which hardly seems possible for her to be grown up!) and my son and his wife just had their first child (a beautiful boy) in August of 2006. Being a parent and a grandparent is what life is really all about!
